I started my first blog, For Lack of a Better Word, in February 2007.  I had resisted blogging for years, as I thought there was something inherently self-indulgent about it and I certainly didn’t need to cultivate that attribute any more than it already was in my life.  As it turns out, resistance was futile.

Almost two years, many new friends, a couple of moves, some unique interactions, infinite instances of oversharing, and one scare with Blogger later, I decided to do something new.  So…welcome to holly wynne, where I continue my ruminations upon my mental and emotional wanderings, my love/hate relationship with teaching, my perfect niece, my tortured obsession with Ryan Adams, my fierce loyalty to my cat, my epic quest to rid myself of migraines, and my escapist fantasy (that I’d like to make reality someday) about owning a coffee shop and an Airstream somewhere in the Appalachians.

Edit, September 2009:  I missed my old blog title.  So…welcome back to for lack of a better word.
